Free Thinker's Forum: A HUUmanist Discussion Group
Third Sundays of every month at 8:30 am in Felowship Hall
Do you ever wonder how we humans got here, what life is all about, and how we can best live together with our fellow inhabitants of the cosmos? Humanism has long been one of the foundations of Unitarian Universalism, as stated in our second and fifth source. The UU Humanist Association “strives to promote and extend the use of rational inquiry without supernatural considerations, followed by compassionate action in all human interactions.” If this sounds like you, please join us! And please bring your topic ideas to the first gathering of this new, interactive, socially and intellectually nurturing event!
The general format will be a short presentation on a topic of interest to the group, followed by open discussion of the topic. The presentation may consist of a speaker, a panel, a TED talk, a film clip, or another format suggested by the ingenuity of the participants.
