Newcomers Take Note . . .
A Newcomer Orientation will be held on February 12, at 12:30 in Fogelson. This is an informal introduction to Unitarian Universalist philosophy and community at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Santa Fe, hosted by the Membership Committee and Rev. Gail Marriner. Invitees are encouraged to RSVP as soon as possible, noting childcare needs and dietary considerations.
A sign-up sheet will be available in the foyer a week before the event; if you are a newcomer interested in attending, please feel free to sign up. Attendance does not carry the obligation to join--we just want to introduce ourselves to our new friends and guests! For more information, please contact 982-9674 ext 14 or admin@uusantafe.org.
An Ingathering Ceremony will be held on February 19 during both services to honor and celebrate our new members. Please let the UUCSF office know if you would like to be honored, or if you will be unable to attend the Ingathering.
A Chosen Faith Chalice Circle
Newcomers are invited to join us for this circle to supplement the Newcomer Orientation scheduled for February 12. We will follow a covenant group format with time for chalice lighting and check-in, as well as discussion of a topic. Our topics will come from the chapters of the UU primer A Chosen Faith, available for purchase at Amazon through the UUCSF website, or at the UUCSF office. At the end of the six sessions, the group will have the option of “sun-setting” or continuing as a covenant group under rotating leadership. The group will meet every other Sunday beginning March 4 - May 13 from 12:45-2:15 in the Committee Room at UUCSF. Facilitated by Rev. Marriner.
Heart to Heart Chalice Circle
The members of the first A Chosen Faith Chalice Circle will continue to meet as the Heart to Heart Chalice Circle, meeting on the above schedule in the Library, facilitated by Cynthia Kelley.
