Our Greeters table is found directly as you enter our front door. Please stop by and complete a brief form so that we might greet you and your children as you join us and help everyone settle in comfortably.
Nursery care for infants, toddlers and preschool and classes for kindergarten through high school are concurrent with the 10:30 service and end at 11:45. Generally this allows parents and guardians to enjoy a few minutes of adult fellowship prior to picking up their children. While we encourage children to try out our classes, your children are always welcome to attend the worship services with you.
Nursery-Pre-K (Bluebirds Room) ~ We are using the curriculum Animals, Seasons, and Holidays! Each week we'll explore a new animal and an important UU value.
K-6 Kids (Spirit Play Room) ~ This spring we will use the UU Tapestry of Faith curriculum, Love Will Guide Us. In this program, participants learn to seek guidance in life through the lens of our Unitarian Universalist Sources, with an emphasis on love. Together we ask questions such as, "Where did we come from?" "What is our relationship to the Earth and other creatures?" "How can we respond with love, even in bad situations?" "What happens when you die?" Sessions apply wisdom from our Sources to help participants answer these questions. Participants will learn that asking questions is valued in Unitarian Universalism, even as they begin to shape their own answers.
Grades 7-9 (Library) ~ Our Whole Lives sexuality curriculum values self-worth, sexual health, responsibility, justice and inclusivity. It provides accurate, age-appropriate information, puts sexuality in the context of values and personal responsibility, and strengthens social skills. These values and skills help prepare youth to make healthy choices for life. Advisors: Mike Owens, Jennifer Pruett, Irina Sels
Grades 7-12 Youth (Fogelson) ~ On Sundays when OWL (above) is in session, all other youth are invited to remain in the sanctuary and enjoy the adult service. If we have enough youth, we can restart a youth group, so please let us know you are here!
Call For Easter Canned Food Drive
Calling all congregants: Please join the Easter canned food drive! The Children’s Faith Development committee are trying an experiment! This year instead of plastic eggs filled with candy, we will hunt for cans of food on Easter! The cans will be labeled with colorful shapes and kids will work in teams to collect the cans only of their team color. All of the cans will be donated to a local food bank, and each child will receive a very special Easter surprise and treat! Please bring small cans (to make it easier for small arms to gather) and deposit them in the large basket in the foyer on Sundays through April 9. Thank you!
Also Mark your Calendars! The young and young at heart ages 0-100 are invited to partake in an Easter Kindness Hunt on Sunday April 16th. It’s a green Easter that demonstrates our values and will be fun, with treats, and prizes for all!
