3 pm ~ the third Sunday From September to May February 19 ~ Host Cynthia Kelley, Mim Chapman - The VP (vagina-penis) Dialogues “Just Say NO!” Enough to Know? Welcome to a performance piece THE VP (vagina-penis) DIALOGUES. From the overture written by Santa Fe’s Alice Ladas, - co-author of The G Spot, the performance is both entertaining and educational. Dialogue, singing, dancing, art, and respectful laughter illustrate the universal questions about our two favorite anatomical parts. This piece is all about questions: Questions we have and are afraid to ask: Questions we wish our children would ask, or hope they don't! Audience members are invited to write their own questions, which will be answered in the after-show talkback. What have you always wanted to ask and not had a safe place? Creator Mim Chapman and her cast will move on to Warehouse 21 for performances the next weekend in a friend making out reach for UUCSF. March 18 ~ MOTHER EARTH vs.WORLD’S PEOPLE, dramatized by Doug Stewart "Perhaps the Most Important Trial in the History of Civilization" Doug Stewart’s play is a dramatic interpretation of the historic trial in which Mother Earth brings charges against World’s People in the International Court of Last Resort for “acting in ways to cause her grievous personal harm and limit her inherent civil rights to a fruitful existence.” Based on Official Court Records, the production documents Mother Earth's summoning a series of witnesses from around her earth to testify concerning the tragic effects global warming and climate change are having on her. The jury hearing this tremendously important case consists of the 'courtroom' audience. Upon hearing the closing statements of both sides, the 'jury' must decide if Mother Earth’s evidence is sufficient to find World’s People “guilty as charged.” April 15 ~ Host Helen White Mooney, Santa Fe Poets - Lauren Camp and Elaine Upton: Stories of our Family and Heritage
