Junior and senior high youth groups have a varying curriculum. In addition to Sunday morning religious education classes, we offer a Coming of Age Program in alternate years, as well as Our Whole Lives, a sexuality education program. State and District youth conferences and evening socials are another vital part of our youth program.

Religious Education for Fall of 2010
Proposed Curriculum by Age Group

Each age group will have two teachers in the classroom each week. It is hoped that there will be at least two regular teachers per class so that they can rotate responsibilities.  Safety guidelines require two teachers/assistants in each classroom each week.

Grade 7/8 – No Fall curriculum chosen as yet.  Class will meet once/month with the high school group for community building, discussion of current topics or community service projects. From January through May this group will have the Our Whole Lives comprehensive sexuality curriculum with trained leaders, Mike Owens and Marcy Loy.

Grades 9-12 – Variety of topics and activities to be determined jointly with youth and adults, the Youth Adult Committee and the DRE.
