As Parker Palmer reminds us, "Our deepest calling is to grow into our own authentic self-hood." This is how we do it at UU Santa Fe. You will find on this page information about our various spirituality small groups. Our groups are currently meeting via Zoom. Please contact Steven Mead for more information.

“No fixing, no saving, no advising, no setting each other straight.”―Parker Palmer Join with others to enhance your connection to your deepest self, your life's gifts and needs greater than your own. UU Santa Fe covenant groups consist of 7-10 people meeting monthly who intentionally and regularly gather to build a sense of community with one another and to share the process of personal spiritual growth. A covenant group offers opportunities for friendship, spiritual growth, mutual responsibility, leadership and service. So, if you're looking for intimacy (fellowship) and ultimacy (meaning), join a Covenant Group!
Questions To Walk With, Not Talk Through All of our covenant groups have access to Soul Matters covenant group content and may elect to use this content or not as groups may decide. Soul Matters takes a unique approach to questions—using questions as tools for individual exploration. Questions that lead you to deeper, personal learning. That's the Soul Matters approach. Experience Our Monthly Theme, Not Just Talk About It Unitarian Universalists want to do more than just read and talk about spiritual topics. Soul Matters participants are challenged with a “spiritual exercise” each month that relates to our topic. That's the Soul Matters experience. There is no charge, everyone is welcome to participate in a Covenant Group but if you commit to a covenant group, it's important that you commit to regular attendance, too. To register your interest, click here or discuss with Steven Mead, Program Ministry staff. Over 60 people participate in our covenant groups. Some of our groups have lasted for 20+ years. OPEN GROUP means the group is looking for and accepting additional members. Check them out! New groups may form when enough potential participants become known. FULL GROUPS are not accepting new members at this time. |
UU Mystics Group |
UU Mystics Group―online
Is your heart hungry? Do you crave silence and chanting, poetry, candlelight and guided meditation? Me too, and sometimes the brightness of Sunday morning just isn’t the right setting for that sort of practice. If you are a mystic at heart, I invite you to join me in the library from 7-8:30 pm on the second Tuesday of the month. I will bring poetry and candles and my singing bowls. If you will bring your imagination and your spiritual resources, I am confident that together we can create a UU soul circle to nurture the inner light in each of us. Part of this gathering will be practice, part of it will be exploring what we might create together. Please RSVP online, click here. - Blessings, Rev. Gail |
Zia Spirituality Group |
Zia Spirituality Groups are an inter-spiritual community of small groups of 10-12 people who come from diverse spiritual backgrounds and who gather to support one another on our spiritual journeys in a supportive and affirming environment. Our Zia group is open to those who are involved at UU Santa Fe, from another faith community, and those who might not feel called to a faith community, but desire a supportive community as one grows in their spiritual life. Facilitated by Rev. Tony Thieman-Somora, retired MCC minister. This is an open group―anyone welcome at any time. Meets online on the 1sr and 3rd Tuesday of the month.

Rev. Victoria Stafford reminds us, "not in the binding language of contract, but in the life-sustaining fluency of covenant, from covenir, to ‘travel together’...covenant is the work of intimate justice.”
