Get Help and Support

Everyone can use some help and support now and again as we cope with life's challenges.

• Our small groups. Covenant and neighborhood groups especially look out for one another. They are often a “first responder” for those in need. Your group can often provide practical help such as meals, a ride to UU Santa Fe or a medical appointment in town or just someone to talk with.
• Caring Connections. When small groups can’t meet needs, then our Caring Connections teams take over―Plumes (card writers), Zooms (rides) and Shrooms (meals). Contact our Office Administrator to be put in touch with our Care Team Leader.
• Bridges Pastoral Care Team. Our Bridges Team works directly with our minister and makes referrals to our Care Teams. Bridges Team members, who have been trained and have manifested a skill to help others through difficult times, are available to talk and coordinate support.
• Pastoral Counseling. If you are an active UU Santa Fe member, Rev. Gail can provide pastoral counseling and assist with basic financial support.
• Support Groups. We have two support groups: 1) Caregivers―anyone who may be care-giving or is grieving from the loss of a loved one and 2) Memory Café― for families, caregivers and those suffering from all forms of dementia. Contact our Office Administrator to be put in touch with these group leaders.

This blessing will not fix you, will not mend you, will not give you false comfort; it will not talk to you about one door opening when another one closes. It will simply sit itself beside you among the shards and gently turn your face toward the direction from which the light will come, gathering itself about you as the world begins again.―Jan Richardson
