Heirs to a Transcendental Faith | Rev. Gail Marriner
Sun, Oct 11, 10:30 am
Fogelson Hall x
From a UU perspective Transcendentalism is more than a literary movement or a philosophy. It’s also part of our history as a religious movement and informs how we think and worship. Join Rev. Gail, Jill Cowley and Maj-Britt Eagle as we reflect on Transcendentalism as a continuing influence in Unitarian Universalism. Our guest musician from Acoustic Musicians on Barcelona will be Cathy Lamoreau. Early Bird Service is at 8:30 in the library. This service is inspired by an upcoming concert by the Sangre De Cristo Chorale. On October 10 and 11 they are performing a piece titled Our Transcendental Passion by Paul John Rudoi. It uses the words of Transcendentalist writers and melodies from The Sacred Harp. We encourage you to get tickets at their website! Visit our Sunday Gatherings page for more information on upcoming services. |
